K Z E R O M A N C E R

I've been zoning everyone out lately. I'll just be saying "yeah" and "uh huh" to whoever is talking to me and then I realize I have no clue what they just said. I think I've always done this, but its happening more and more. Whatever is going on in my head is a lot louder I guess.

I'm going to make a promise to myself to start watercoloring again this week. I want to make a big print for my new office I moved into last week. No more cubicles!

It was nice and kind of weird to see old friends in Conroe this weekend. More importantly, Pepper did not throw up on the way back to Austin. It's an Easter miracle!

I've been on this mid-century furniture kick for a while. The other weekend I went over to a lady's house to see her sale. Her home was so inspiring. All of her furniture was mid-century. It looked like the set of Don Draper's house. She gave me a lot of helpful tips on where I can find good deals on that type of furniture. I ended up buying a chair from her. It's really comfortable, low to the ground and angled. Pepper can't seem to stay off of it.

I bought my first home the other day. I can't describe how excited I am. Its super close to downtown and in a new community that's still growing. A few blocks away, they're building the most eco-friendly HEB grocery designed by Lake Flato Architects!

Last weekend I went to Round Top/Warrenton for their biannual antique show. It stretched about 4 miles long, its insane. I don't know how I didn't find anything, of course my boyfriend found a lot of neat things. He's the one who drags me to that stuff.. I definitely don't mind.

This weekend, I'm going to my hometown to help my parents move. They also just bought a new house a couple of weeks ago. I'm going to miss my old house so much. Oh well... things are looking up!

I saw Jeff Who Lives at Home last weekend and heard Beck's new song for the movie. Jiro Dreams of Sushi this weekend !

This week is either going to be awesome or very disappointing. I may be closing on my first house. We'll see.

I hate to say that instagram has made me neglect my Yashica. Darn technology!

Muji Planner 2012 and Zebra Mildliners

I hope everyone had a great new years. Sam had a great idea and took me to the Zilker Park Clubhouse to see the fireworks at the Auditorium Shores. It was so beautiful, you could see the reflection of the fireworks on the lake and the smoke swirl around the city.

I started my new years resolution a little early since I found out Sam has a gym we can work out at for free with his apt complex. We been pretty good about going there a few times a week. I won't have a workout buddy this week since he'll be in Honduras again.

I found out I will be getting the iphone 4S from my company later this month. Ok..I promise I did not purposely shatter that droid's screen.

Here are a few additions to my stuff. I will be receiving my first Muju 2012 planner and two sets of Zebra Mildliners next week. I actually have use for it now with this job. I can't wait!

After seeing Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I REALLY want a motorcycle.

I am home in Conroe for Christmas. We had so much food tonight for our party. I dropped and shattered my company phone.. maybe I will get the new iphone. I had a big talk with my family for plans for Peru this summer. We have to take care of some family business there. I can't wait. I really want to try backpacking to Cusco and Machu Picchu with Sam. If its possible, I'll finally get to see the Nazca lines. Then I'll go back to Austin and get a tattoo of the Nazca humming bird on my right shoulder.
